Carcharodontosaurus(meaning shark tooth lizard) is a dinosaur belonging to the family known as the carcharodontosaurids. And now history and its history is actually quite interesting, it was first originally discovered in 1914 and then described by stromer. It was then taken to the very same museum where the spinosaurus fossils were being held, and if you guessed correctly because they were in the same museum as the spinosaurus fossils they were also destroyed in the allied bombings of Munich Germany. But thankfully more fossils of carcharodontosaurus were found in the Kem Kem fossil beds of Morocco and, they were later found to belong to a subspecies of carcharodontosaurus(but thats a story for another day).

Now that history class is over we can talk about its looks. Its tail was long, muscular, used for balance. Its legs were big and muscular to support the weight of this animal. And its arms were short with three claw tipped fingers on each hand. But when you get to the head it starts to get interesting. Its teeth were serrated like a sharks(hence the name shark tooth lizard)which were most likely used in cutting through flesh with ease. And the top of the skull was really rough to (as you can see in the photo above). It would have probably been an active hunter. Now that that´s done we can talk about its general stats:
Length:12-13.3 meters
Weight:6.2-15.1 tons
Height:3.8 meters
